I 100% turn to paw paw ointment good for cracked lips as the weather gets cold. Multiple purposes by Lisa F what beauty products you turn to during the cooler months It's important to ensure the skin is well hydrated and moisturised during cooler months. When we are indoors, with heating on most of the time, there is a lot of what's referred to as transepidermal water loss (TEWL). When skin loses moisture it becomes flaky, dull, lifeless and blotchy. A good quality moisturizer reduces the rate and effects of TEWL. I used to use Omveda (100% natural rich moisturiser) for years but now, since im also looking for antiageing qualities in a moituriser, i prefer Medik8 XD (stands for extra dry) with EGF (epidermal growth factors). The price factors are very different though. OMveda is $79 for 150ml and MEdik8 is $129 (but its a cosmeceuticals rather than a cosmetic) continued... >> what was your most favorite product in 2012 and why Last year was the year of me falling in love with protective, soothing, regenerative qualities of medik8 Hydra8B5 serum which is a mix of Hyalaronic Acid (king of hydration, plus repairs damaged tissue) and vitaminB (pantothenic acid - soothingm healing, repairative) on my skin. The first time I tried it, I didn't see much difference. But Then I used it after skin needling for about two weeks. And the results were superb. My skin healed in half the time (only 1day in comparison with me being red for 2-3 days usually) and it was a lot softer, smoother and clearer. It is now a must in my morning routine. Another important factor is its excellent for smokers skin. Natural Hyalaronic acid is lost when you smoke and your skin suffers a lot from it. By restoring the balance in your skin, you are allowing it to reach its own potential for healing. by Julia G Laser, Skin & Wellness Clinic (03) 9530 9800 www.chadstone-wellness.com.au "nothing specific " my ducted heater and my electric blanket by Fotini L I find the AVON beauty products such as eye cream and wrinkles and lines smoothing creams really work well and very reasonably priced. by Rachel S |
In the cooler months, I rely heavily on Lucas' Paw Paw Ointment. It's my saviour for anything from chapped lips to dry hands and skin. It does wonders! Other than that I moisturizer my face religiously. I still use the same face moisturizer that I've always used (Olay sensitive skin SPF 30+), but I just use it more often, whenever my face feels dry. Hand cream is also a must during the cooler months, as you lose moisture in your hands very quickly. Sorbolene cream is great for this, as it's a bit richer than your everyday summer cream, for smoother hands when it's dry and cool

I'm so excited about this new product that I found. It's make up. But it's not mineral, it's better than that!!! Created by a dr for application directly on wounds to promote healing, it has phenomenal reparative qualities and helps skin restore itself. It's suitable post procedures, even aggressive ones. I've tried it for a month and absolutely loved it. The make up blends into your skin and really lifts and brightens your complexion. The brand is oxygenetix and I'm getting it into the clinic in two weeks!!! << continued... Plenty of water with fresh lime it's a natural detox and helps you skin rejuvenate. Also exfoliation is a much!! by Lisa F I am addicted to oils. I personally use rosehip and jojoba oils not only as moisturizers, but also as an an eye make up remover. Especially its so good to use oils during winter and cold seasons.
