"My favourite products are those that are 100% organic, natural, without nasty chemicals, those safe and healthy.
So, I always go for a quality and I'd rather have one proper product than ten cheap, low in quality stuff. Probably it's good to mention, I tend to use homemade beauty products a lot, like homemade facial masks and natural oils instead of expensive creams. Parfums are on the other hand, a bit more complex as I didn't find a natural one yet that would smell as good as those in shops :)) Hope it helps!" NB |
I buy products within a fairly specific price range ($20-80 for beauty products
and $60-150 for perfumes) because, from my understanding and experience, products
that fall below this range are usually characterised by poor quality, whereas
products above this range charge for the brand and do not offer superior
quality.
Cheers :)

When I was a teenager I had a really good friend who was in her
late twenties and she always looked awesome and was pretty much my role
model. She always had very expensive makeup and I loved using her stuff.I
didn't like spending money on makeup and i was using cheap stuff
myself. She told me something that changed my view on it forever. She
said: "u only get one face, one skin, and it's you are who should take
care of it. Why on earth would u ever put cheap stuff on to your own
precious skin? I would never do that... u can't buy new skin later on.
You only deserve the best!"For some reason it really touched
me. I thought that she is right and since then I only use expensive
brandy cosmetics and can't imagine it any other way. Kind regards. DL

As I travel a lot I use my beauty products depending on a
season. My favourites are KENZO AMOUR made in France,
Daisy by Marc Jacobs - made in France,
ESCADA Rocking Rio limited Edition - made in UK,
LILY OF THE VALLEY - made in England,
TWIN FLOWER - MADE IN AJMAN U.A.E. I also try to buy high quality products for
my man: he uses DDOBYL COSMETICS super tonic - made in Korea
- it's a magical thing! If you use it once yiou get addicted to it. My heart is
giving up without fighting when it comes to beauty and when you talk about
perfume - I place the expensive ones on the first place. Hugs and kisses.

Budget versus luxe... I would always choose the latter as the
famous proverb says “we are not rich enough to buy cheap things…” My mum would
always say: ”get used to buy expensive things – you will end up spending less...”
I tend not to listen to her advice in the past but later to my disappointment I discovered that the packages are not that good and you loose half of your compact powder or your blush half way through, or your perfume does not close tightly and you tend to use more of it because it evaporates quicker than the expensive ones, the makeup applies in horrible unpredictable and unmanageable flakes, it feels dry in a couple of hours or.. (which is even worse out of all) you look and smell hideous wearing cheap make up and low grade perfume - it is also about your presentation that matters and about you loving yourself that matters above all... This is one side of my short story. The other side is how to fit into the budget going for luxury things at the same time. |
