Having said this introduction, Miss Fashion Week Australia recently conducted National Final Competition for 2019. This beautiful and engaging competition was divided in two days program: Miss Fashion Week Junior National Final and Miss Fashion Week Australia National Final Teen and Adult. Both events were held at Pullman Hotel Albert Park, Melbourne Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15th 2019
2019 national finalists were divided into three different categories: Junior division, Teen Division and Adult Division depending on age. Girls of 8 to 12 years took part in Junior Division, Teen Division belonged to girls from 13 to 17 years old and finally Adult Division was presenting 18 years and plus girls who competed.
There were 35 girls in the Junior Division, while Teen Division consisited of 37 girls this year and Adult Division fit 29 girls. The total of 101 girls walked on the ramp over two days.
I must admit that all girls starting from junior to adult were equally beautiful and talented. Teen and adult girls were showcasing Eric Kim, an award winning fashion designer's phenomenal drsses on the runway.
Competitions were judged by highly qualified, talented judges with the vast experience in similar pageants and beauy competitions.
Junior competition was judged by: Interview judges - Lexi Nolan, Paige Harrington and Saloni Kalra Evening Judges - Tamlyn Samuel, Kassidy Young, Ashlee Jolliffe, Jacquelyn Watts and Analieze Newton.
Teen and Adult competion was judged by: Interview Judges - Lexi Nolan, Paige Harrington, Analieze Newton, Kassidy Young. Evening Judges - Tamlyn Samuel, Kassidy Youn, Lexi Nolan, Saloni Kalra and Anthony Wayne.
We ran an interview with one of the judges, Anthony Wayne on the 14th October before the competition started and his view was that everyone equally beautiful but the judges are always looking for that extra spark on the presentation and on the walk to choose the deserving winner. It was very well expressed.
We also had a chance to speak to a few junior contestants and their proud mothers. Carole Brown is a very proud mother of Jordyn Brown, a 10 years of age young girl from Sydney, NSW. Jordyn is a confident little girl who has already competed internationally in Dallas USA. Carole feels that the pageant/modeling is the best thing that happened for little Jordyn who has autism. Carole said that Jordyn loved developing friendship with other girls and when she walked on the ramp she forgot all about her disability.
Another beautiful we had a chance to speak with was miss junior Eva Hutchinson from Adelaide who was at the competition day 1 with her proud mother Delia Hutchinson. Eva is a 9 years old and very smart girl. Im reality it was her first time competition. She mentioned that she was quite excited. She also loves dancing, ballet and jazz.
Ella Jayde from junior girl division who is from Sydney, said her mum told her about the Miss Fashion Week Australia. Ella was just doing it to gain experience and she won the Miss Junior 2019 title last November. the young girl loves playing guitar and singing. She was very much excited about the competition.
We have to admit that Miss Fashion Week Australia is great concept and a starting ground for many young Australian girls. It is the stage for them to shine in modeling industry in the years to come.

MARISA FERRARO: WOMEN OF STYLE website review: Natasha Marchev
Women Of Style by Marisa Ferraro is the book not only for fashion lovers but also for the people interested in history and art of fashion. It describes the famous women who dressed with style following the latest trends and actually dictating the fashion trends and tips.
They were the women of beauty, known celebrities in the powerful worlds of stage, cinematography and theater. Their images and photos became so well known around the world they are now considered to be the icons of fashion The modern age fashionistas copy them often and follow their style even nowadays.
The book also covers the influential designers who created the world of new trends for us and who re-arranged our entire understanding and view on outfits and styling. We also believe the book will assist the young emerging designers to set and achieve their goals by learning through the book about the generations of their "ancestors" of the past. It should actually be the table book for many of them who are looking to come up with their own unique style and approach to fashion.
Marisa Ferraro proudly launched her book with the help of her influential friends at The George Bar and Restaurant Private Room on Collins Street Melbourne CBD. The event was a match to the book itself: all done in good style and attention to the finest detail. The event was visited by many celebrities who came to support Marisa's new creation and her noble goal: 10% of each book sale went to the nominated charity. (Treasure Chest Charity assisting Women with Breast Cancer) The event publicity was superb: hundreds of books were sold throughout the event.
It was also a great chance to meet new and old friends and discuss new projects together. With the strong emphasis on Marisa's book the event was also an amazing chance to socialize and talk about subjects related to fashion and style.
We flipped through the pages and of course , no questions asked, we purchased the book where fashion of the present days linked us all together with the past and the future with blended with text, photography and drawings. I felt very proud of Marisa's achievements - she is young and very talented woman who expresses herself though her own research . It is a hard, enormous job to create a book of any kind. It is a huge job to market the book and make it interesting to the public. I think Marisa achieved her aim.
It is a perfect book for a coffee table not not only as it can add a value to any collection of your books on the shelves about art, design and fashion
We are wishing Marisa all the best in her future creations and thanking Helen and Janine for this kind invite and the opportunity for us to cover the event of such scale.
