I went hunting and fishing back in Canada in 2003-2004 both in summer and winter. We hunted deer, hair, pheasants, quail and other smaller game. We also went fishing for rainbow trout and wild salmon in pristine Canadian lakes in British Columbia (Raven Lake if I am not mistaken - a place so far from civilization we could hear wolfs howling around it). Nature-wise observing it was a nice experience and summer time was perfect for this but it was too of a cold exercise to perform in winter especially in -20 degrees freezing weather. I have to note that I am not a big hunting fan though as I felt really sorry for poor fish and animals although I am not a vegetarian but I could not eat meat for a year after we went deer hunting - it was too painful to see. Then there were hunting trips and deer hunting in Victoria. But I do not do it anymore.
Slava Kh who works together with me at the same company shared his hunting stories last week and I decided we need a new page devoted to this subject: Fishing and Hunting. Slava owns a beautiful dog that is a perfect assistant in this activity. We publish here some of the photos that Slava kindly shared with us...
