just a bit of a personal history. I started water fasting since I was 17 years old healing my colds and flues in less then a day. Later I have done many much longer fastings: 3, 7 and 10 days long before I had a courage to prove myself that I can also do 21, 22, 28 and 40 days long water fastings. The latter was a bit scary to take after day 32 as I did a couple of mistakes I should have never done knowing s much about the routine. It is even hard to call a routine now as I know that each fasting you go to you start with a prayer as it takes lots of discipline and self courage which I really lack. Each fasting is like an entity: it can be as easy as to jump over the 40cm wide puddle and it can be as hard as jumping from a 1 km high bridge... It can go with feelings, it can release unwanted energies and entities that keep attaching to you, t can be as painful as your worst nightmare and as light as your best dream. That's why I pray: I want it to be easy always but it is unpredictable as a puppy full of everyday surprises: one day playful and happy, the other day - sleepy, and the day after - agressive and vengeful. I pray and I stay low, behave humble, as my energy filed becomes very fragile. I can write a whole book about each fasting separately. But I want to touch basic things for those of you who just start it.
Rule number 1 read as much as you can about fasting classics: Breg and Shelton. read contemporary literature on fasting too: Malahov read, think, visualise and plan how and what would you like to achieve: healing of an old disease, energy balancing, wieght loss, cleansing etc. Place your goals in order. read and write the main principles following the classical books as one small mistake can cost you a life!!!
Rule number 2 start with light and easy day fastings: one day on pure filtered (not bottled!!!) water do your fastings weekly and pick up the most humble day of he week, when you are not at work ad not at the parties (for example Sunday) after three weeks of Sundays off any food or drinks but water make the third week a 3-days fasting going Sunday, Monday, Tuesday on water only. Increase the number of fasting days to 7 after three 3-days fastings. Increase the number of fasting days to 10 after two 7-days fastings. Increase the number of fasting days to 21 after three 10 days fastings. Increase the number of fasting days to 28 after two 21-days fastings. Increase the number of fastng days to 42 after two 28 days fastings. So your plan will look something like this: 1, 1, 1, 3, 1, 1, 1, 3, 1, 1, 1, 3, 1, 1, 1, 7, 1, 1, 1. 3, 1, 1, 1. 3 1, 1, 1. 3, 1, 1, 1, 7, 1, 1, 1, 3, 1, 1, 1, 3, 1, 1, 1, 10, etc etc. It might probably take you a whole year till you are trained enough physically, emotionally and mentally to go for the longer fastings. There are limits of course nd your body will give you signs for this (which are very individual as per Breg). I personally would never do any fastings longer that 42 days. meditate, meditate, meditate! as meditation at the ties of fasting opens lots of spiritual channels and clears up your thought flow: the creative ideas come up to your mind as a waterfall... everything looks so sharp and beautiful: the world, the universe, the space and the time reveal their beauty in front of you... the longer you fast the closer you feel your Higher Self, the closer and the faster your connection with the source becomes.
Rule number 3 it is the most important rule in any fasting how to get our of the fasting. you should read lots of literature on this as longer fastings (more than 10 days) need a special juicing technique to get out of the body and your digestive system "sleeping" state. If you fast for 5 days you should stay on "getting of fasting" diet for exactly 35 days (it s mainly juices and juices dissolved with water) try to stay out of big crowds when you do longer fastings because of emotional aspect
Expect headaches and vomiting especially the first day of fasting, bad breath, dizziness, weakness, muscle cramps, anger moods and other mood swings, unexpected diarrhea on longer days fastings (more than 10 days) some days and very clear head, very light lively feelings of love and flows of joy some other days - all expected.
I always find easier to do full water fasting instead of juice fasting as juices are food and it is very tempting and yummy food - you can let your self go... and with my lack of discipline I am not good at the pure juicing at all.
I can consider myself an expert in water fasting as I have done so many but I would never conduct anyone on their way to do so - they should seek the professional advises or their own intuition. I can not recommend anything on juice fastingg as I have never done it myself - I used juices to get out of my long term fastings though.
