SWEET INDIA CAROLINE SPRINGS NEW website review: Roslynne Garwood-Webb photos: Peter Morris
This Evening I had the pleasure of attending the grand opening of SWEET INDIA in Caroline Springs, situated in Shop 20/13-15 Lake St Shopping Complex opposite the Caroline Springs Gallery and next door to Dominoes it is perfectly placed to be able to park up , dash in and fulfil your feet or savoury craving and grab some items to take home ! With an impressive range of over 50 both sweet and savoury dishes available to take away, you are certainly spoilt for choice. Chocolate Sandesh, Rasmalai, Cham Cham and Mothi Pak are just a few of the delectable sweets on offer.
The Samosa and Sweet Tamarind Sauce was absolutely amazing and authentic. Operated by the current owners of the Caroline Springs Dosa Hut which opened only last week, Sweet India will be another popular choice for Caroline Springs residents! I had the pleasure of having a lovely chat with Deepti who was very excited about the opening of the first Indian Sweet Shop in the area. Deepti said that she was looking forward to bringing the relatively unknown Sweets of India experience to people who lived in her hometown of Caroline Springs. Open 7 days a week from 10am - 8pm Sweet India is a sweet shop like no other , and you must pay it a visit !
DOSA HUT CAROLINE SPRINGS website review: Michelle Schemri-Lipscombe
Dosa Hut Caroline Springs presents itself as the Jewel in the West , with classy interiors and the backdrop of an amazing lakeside view, Dosa Huts signature menu including 100 plus Dosa varieties , heritage status Hyderabadi Biryanis , a full fledge Bar & Functions Area to celebrate milestone events. On the evening of the 8th of August, the award winning multi-cuisine Indian restaurant Dosa Hut , opened its doors at the majestic lake side venue in Caroline Springs.. As we entered Dosa Hut for the grand opening, we were greeted by the restaurant owners - Huzi Bagasrawala, Brian Pereira, Dayan and Reddy Vootkuri. Dressed in exquisite Indian outfits, it was a warm welcome that instantly drew you into the restaurants rich Indian culture. The opening night saw a crowd of over 500 people who came to experience what is today the fastest growing restaurant Indian chain in Australia A delectable buffet feast was crafted to provide the splendours of India on a plate. The Lakeside dinning ambience was heightened by the Mayor of Melbourne & many astute guests & customers from all walks of life. If the Dosa Hut menu offers over 100 hundred dishes, we must have been treated to at least a quarter of those on the night! The food was colourful and enticing to the eye, the distinctive aroma of Indian cuisine filled the room and the line to the buffet let us know the food was going to be amazing! And amazing it was... with a large variety of vegetarian and meat dishes the buffet covered everything from fruit salad, goat, chicken, beef, rice dishes and desserts. Each dish had its own distinctive flavours, blends of herbs and varying levels of spice but they all had one thing in common - they tasted amazing! With so many dishes to try (and we tried ALL of them) it is hard to pick a favourite but I was definitely keen for a seconds helping of Murg Makhni, Goat Lal Mass and the Delhi Ki Mix Chaat. I would highly recommend Dosa Hut for anyone wanting to try a great local Indian restaurant. I can't wait to go back and try some more of the 75 dishes on the menu!

We were very lucky to get invited to the Dosa Hut Caroline Springs Indian authentic cuisine opening night on August 08 2018 at 0600pm, a kind invite by one of the owners Deepti Alurkar professional photos and review to follow we had some pre-event drinks at the very welcoming house of Erkin Kalayciand Tugba Talia Caglayan, our media crew members who live near by - just 500 m from the restaurant. Was very glad to see Erkin again in a not working environment and we all head off to the place where we had to work (apart from trying this divine food) . We also opened a bottle of champagne to celebrate Erkin's recent editorials printed - so happy for this amazing family of highly artistic people whose house is a real reflection of their two creative souls - very humble but full of beautiful surprises! We head off to the restaurant and looked like we just arrived on time... not a usual situation as the house was full at exactly 0600pm and the food was served right after! All on time and not the Indian way - 2 hours late - we all were there and our table was happy and full of laughter - was so glad to see Nadia Pleshkova, Peter Morris and Michelle Schembri-Lipscombe - really warm and joyful company..... professional review and photos are to follow ... please stay tuned ! Peter took us back to Erkin 's house after the event and we drove home safely - <3 Thanking all our crew who attended and thanking the chefs the waiters and the managers of Dosa Hut Caroline Springs for the kind invite together with their family and friends... we met lots of familiar faces and the food and drinks were all shared in cheerfully . Wishing to the place many years of prosperity and best customers always! PS. one thing that surprised me the most was the pumpkin and coconuts covered in saffron next to the door way - and we kept discussing this for the entire evening... till the question "why" was kindly cleared for us by one of the managers. Do you want to know why? Go there, eat , drink and ask yourself please!

TASTE OF FRANCE LUNCH website photography: Rouben Dickranian review: Natasha Marchev
Chez Dré, Bibelot and Dominique Portet Wines Vineyard presented
#TasteOfFranceWineLunch on Friday Oct 6 at 0100pm https://www.facebook.com/chezdre/posts/1702183306481959

Bohemian Rhapsody Club and Online Magazine expresses its special thanks to Chez Dré ( and personally to #GeorgiaVeitenheimer) and Dominique Portet Wines managing team and the owners for the invite, and such a great organisation of the event, to #BibelotPublicity and personally to @PattyKarakostas for the opportunity to review the lunch and to Rouben for a his flexibility, a will to assist on the last minute call and for the gorgeous photos.
Taste of France Lunch took place at one very cozy and awesome location in the busy but very beautiful corner of South Melbourne. We were very lucky to get invited to cover this event. The lunch was served from the Chez Dre Kitchen and the wines were supplied by the world and most prestigious and famous Dominique Portet Wines. The lunch was organised in the form of degustation with the perfect set up and a quite a few number of guests present. The lunch took lace on Friday October 6 when most people start to take their minds away from work and project the thoughts on the upcoming weekend. It was a great idea to run the lunch at this particular day. I am pretty sure that many of the guests present thought that is also a fantastic place to take their partners out and show them the new restaurant on the weekend.Just in case after this review you consider to book a table for your family and friends there is the number to cal the store directly 96902688. The place is open through Friday, Saturday and Sunday... but let's get back to our lunch... To be honest I must admit that the food has never tasted this good and there was nothing to do with us being hungry. (BTW, do you know that this restaurant that I would call "A seductive French appreciation" bakes its own bread?) If you visited the digustation lunch you would never have any regrets in your life anymore or like famous Edith Piaf sang it in her mother country language: "Non, rien de rien, non, je ne regrette rien" (if I spelled it correctly) - if she only could taste the food from Chez Dre and the wines from Dominique Portet Piaf would devote this song completely to the two of them. The food not only tasted great but it looked fantastic! Please have a look at the photos made by our photographer, Rouben. We were served ~ assorted canapes with dominique portet brut roseto start with ~ blue swimmer crab cake with avocado mousee, pickled fennel and coriander salt matched with dominique portet sauvignon blanc to follow. ~ confit duck and braised venison share plates and sides were served next with the matching dominique portet rose as the main followed by the dessert of ~ palet d'or with the matching dominique portet cabernet sauvignon of 2016 to continue teasing our taste buds and to be finished with the ~ beautiful dominique portet rose gelato We all want more! and we look forward to another experience to cover at the Chez Dre - may be breakfast or dinner this time? I am also coming back there to try their coffees and bakery items. What more can good customer want? Fresh food, deliciously prepared by French chefs - this is the ultimate answer I guess. Now the photos to follow to make our readers very hungry.
Entertainment Book special... the Friday ride picking up accessories for the photoshoot continued in the late evening.. leading us all the way to Oakleigh and their AROMA Grill House/Meze from Greek with love... that was some meat selection. 1. service: 2/10 2. food: 20/10 environment: there was no environment - the place was very plain but we sat nest to the fire place - that made the difference in temperature at least 3. if there were paintings on the walls we did not notice them... 4. price: $40 for two of us (with Yoshi Lis) rating it: 9/10 for delicious food of the master chef 5. please note your voucher does not cover the plate for two, please you should not listen to the waitress....but we were generously excused this time... all thanks to Alex. got your book (and that was not a question!): https://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/orderbooks/182v887
Entertainment Book special: Friday, after a long day checking out the location at Beleura House & Gardenand driving like mad from one place to another collecting bits and pieces for the Saturday project from 0730am till 1130pm we thought the lunch should polish it well. at Tudor Inn 1. the service: we wished there was no soup in this place or at least less of it... 2. the environment: we wished we were somewhere else plus those paintings on the walls were...mmm... how can i put it to make the artist not to be in tears for the rest of his life... those paintings were perhaps very joyful for the rest of the people present. 3. the fire place was very useful plus the food was very good and warm like the fire... we actually thought it was cooked in that fire but it was not the thought of the week... 4. the price for two: $33. overall: food only for hungry us: 6/10

THIS IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT - A BREATH OF FRESH AIR
zajka on the wall at Wabi-Sabi Café and zajki inside the Chanoyu Spa: my friend and I were really privileged to wait for the Chanoyu Urban Retreattreatment inside the cafe while it was closed till dinner time - very kind of the owners... well Katsudon (no photos this time) was also cold for the company but it was not anyone's fault. please note: do not try to find any connections between the art, the food or anything else like something hidden in this message - the connection is lost in translation. oh...may be this is the final link: my review of Chanoyu Urban Retreat experience is coming up soon...
IT IS AN EXPERIMENT
It's a linner or dunch one or the other looks uncertain somehow but I wanted to try something that I could not fully trust ☕️in taste combination of course

just before our photoshoot "street-fashion" what a yummy salad and an excellent choice to surprise a friend... now I do not have to think: who came first - an egg or a fish - they both arrived at the same time decorated with coffee, French all-seeds-baguette and butter and lots of greens... thank you - superb food!

WHERE THE KATSUDON JOURNEY ENDED UP
I have no idea how that Japanese Katsudon was , I was told it was extremely bad, which i bought... (no!) but this dish from the next door cafe ( Smith Street Alimentari Collingwood) was out of this world... the mixture plate of four salads with some divine flavors: Farro, Cous Cous, Potato and Beetroot... but the best out of all was the painting of 9 running models on the beach.. I hope they wear Sunflair / Opera /Sunmarin / Olympia Swimwear and Beachfashion Australia ( Doris Jablonsky? - just a thought of you here... and I see us doing it in October) plus the recipes for the dishes on the menu can be found in the book... my challenge for today or tomorrow - write to the publisher Hardie Grant Books, ask them for the review copy and cook six dishes from the book... however... I had a hope the book could be received some other way: with my happy promise to mention the Alimentary place six more times in my posts of the dishes frm the book... for Bohemian Rhapsody Club and Online Magazine
i was not 100% sure about that kelp salad but it was ok... seafood at Hunky Dory Fish & Chips with Yoshi Lis and I think I can recognise this left hand: Rouben Dickranian, it should be yours- no, not on the plate just next to it?..
i guess this is not that time of the year to mention "ice cream" of any kind (or anything to do with "ice") but the flavours at Mövenpick Ice Cream / Movenpick Melbourne Central are so unbelievably divine it is hard not to say "Si" - that's sampling I guess - and it is on the go: BTW, your Entertainment Book has two vouchers for the triple and double baskets and they will be half price - just check the pages and love your ice cream too no matter what the season is: https://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/orderbooks/182v887 on the pictures below - sorry , we partially destroyed ours and there is also a nice watercolor picture of the puppy from the talented girl, the artist who was sitting next to us and who was very keen to share her album:
somehow I knew these will be the best pictures: and who can say no to the cacti... when cacti say yes to you! before that day we also thought that burritos are made out of spikes... we also thought they would be so hot and feeling like you swallow the snake, the iron and the hedgehog at the same time... no, they (burritos if you forgot what I was talking about) are actually not hot - they are mild and taste amazing... bill: $17 for two for the biggest ever lunch (or should I say: avalanche!) at Bay City Burrito Hawthorn with Yoshi Lis spying for the Entertainment Book want to try yours? https://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/orderbooks/182v887 but be careful the burritos are addictive like everything Spanish.
LONDON TAVERN " London Tavern Caulfield is the place to meet with friends, have a meal and enjoy a drink, all in a welcoming and comfortable environment. They offer affordable and delicious meals in the bistro and can also host your next function." - this is what I read after being there with Alex for our flounder lunch. I realized I did everything wrong: "meet with friends" - no tick (I met with Alex), "have a meal and enjoy drink" - no tick (no drink, no tick I mean!), but yes, the "environment" was ok - that is one tick. Our lunch $32 for two, the fish was out of this world - it was from the under-water world... still like it! why it was so special? we used of course our Entertainment Book and I figured out that Entertainment Book is using us in return (but all in the good way!) - we like to be used like that! buying yours? https://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/orderbooks/182v887
Ingredients (all in raw form): 1/4 cabbage, the king of the table red bell pepper, thyme, radish raw mushrooms (king Pleurotus eryngii), green leaves, coriander seeds fennel, celery, lime juice, spring onions green peas, cucumber, pink himalayan salt, olive oil, fresh lemon juice, cranberries
went well with simple 1/4 of a chicken (bottom part of course) cherry juice and selection on cheeses (Serezh'as treat) including mouthwatering gorgonzola - the blue part is supposed to make your life longer but we ate everything - the yellow and the white too... so not sure what will happen now...
the talk after consuming the first two spoons:
NM: Serezh, this salad is very special and there is something I do not know what that gives it such a unique taste: peas?mushrooms? SS: It is salt AL: It is olive oil and lemon NM: It is no vinegar, the vinegar is absent SS: I guess I know what is the and special main ingredient now: it is called "vinegar absence" - this is what makes it so special. the absence of something - the absence of vinegar!
THE EVERYWHERE SAND The sand is everywhere: the noses and ears, the paws and shoes, the shirts, the pants and the car seats .., what else: we have taken the pieces of the sun with us too... At Mornington Peninsula - so glad the place is still there , the Manyung Gallery Group building is gone though, no castle not even one brick is left ... it was my fav place there...
IT COULD BE ANY COLOR
at the times when the food is green and amazingly tasty but the day falls apart, nothing works right, the thoughts are everywhere but not where they should be and the conversation does not "glue" it together...
EVEN THE BEATLES GAVE UP
..and who said you "can't buy the love"?
got freedom as part of the deal
but in reality he wanted (as all foxes do) just the Hot Roast Chicken (on the background)
