PIZZA 1B NEW website CAFE OPENING NIGHT photography: Anna Starikova review: Natasha Marchev
We were lucky enough to be invited to the Pizza 1b cafe and pizzeria opening night. on October 15 . The Pizzeria and cafe are located in Craigieburn right opposite the car park next to the shopping plaza. It is a small but very cute and cozy place. When we arrived at around 0600pm following the owners' invite the place was already full. What shall I say Who doe snot like hearty Italian food and beautiful music!? Everyone does. But wait as the details will follow. e were served pepper, salt and lemon calamari which were delicious and I have to admit they were the must to try. Then the dishes were changing like Russians change their astronauts in space: efficiently, with high quality ingredients and in a good pace. We tried any possible pizza on planet Earth, arancini, meat balls, drinks including white wine and very well brewed coffee, chicken schnitzels and ice-cream gelato. Pizzas have very thing bases and are all made in the house in the hot stone oven. They were delicious to say the least. My favorite out of all were calamari and coffee which were made to the expert's taste. I say calamari were the best quality as we have even noticed that two women were fighting for the left overs so good they were. To add t the "cake" and the fun everyone had socialising and chatting, there was as I mentioned above the music that was basically the culmination of the event and its most beautiful feature.... and more than the musing there was Lorenzo's amazing voice. Robert was masterfully accompanying on the key board with the warm smile that did not leave hs face for the rest of the event.. People were standing around him having snacks served by the nimble crew of waiters and waitresses. he time was passing by so quickly we have not even noticed that the happy crowd started dancing: the music changed and the twirls were changing one another: from tarantellas to something else that perhaps does not have name and who cares about the names when there are so many joy around! The night has finished closer to 1000pm and it was time to go home. Anna, our photographer took lots of amazing photos, jumping from one group of people to another, family and friends , they all knew each other and the food, the music and the wine, the happy eyes of the children were some of the many reasons of these people to unite that night and celebrate. Michelle and I were sitting at the table outside and drinking coffee and wine. Michelle was posting some photos on insta and online, I heard her phone was beeping from "likes". We said good buy and biggest thank you to he owners of the newly opened lace wishing them to have lots of good and merry customers, to Lorenzo and Michelle for the invitation and drove back home.
SWEET INDIA CAROLINE SPRINGS website review: Roslynne Garwood-Webb photos: Peter Morris
This Evening I had the pleasure of attending the grand opening of SWEET INDIA in Caroline Springs, situated in Shop 20/13-15 Lake St Shopping Complex opposite the Caroline Springs Gallery and next door to Dominoes it is perfectly placed to be able to park up , dash in and fulfil your feet or savoury craving and grab some items to take home ! With an impressive range of over 50 both sweet and savoury dishes available to take away, you are certainly spoilt for choice. Chocolate Sandesh, Rasmalai, Cham Cham and Mothi Pak are just a few of the delectable sweets on offer.
The Samosa and Sweet Tamarind Sauce was absolutely amazing and authentic. Operated by the current owners of the Caroline Springs Dosa Hut which opened only last week, Sweet India will be another popular choice for Caroline Springs residents! I had the pleasure of having a lovely chat with Deepti who was very excited about the opening of the first Indian Sweet Shop in the area. Deepti said that she was looking forward to bringing the relatively unknown Sweets of India experience to people who lived in her hometown of Caroline Springs. Open 7 days a week from 10am - 8pm Sweet India is a sweet shop like no other , and you must pay it a visit !
