ALEXANDER MCQUEEN:  MIND MYTHOS MUSE  NEW

Alexander McQueen mind Mythos Muse is the first major McQueen exhibition to be staged in Australia – and created through a collaboration with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and the NGV. the exhibit features over 120 of McQueen’s designs, alongside paintings, decorative art pieces and photography, including backstage footage of McQueen’s iconic runways. The multi-sensory aspect provides a unique insight into McQueen’s creative process
Alexander McQueen was a visionary, known for pushing social boundaries and challenging the way the world thought about high fashion. Rising from a working a class background, McQueen had a broad range of inspiration from films and art to politics, as well as exploring controversial topics of all of which fuelled his imagination to create an innovating at times even confronting vision.

The exhibition is arranged by four different themes Mythos, Fashioned Narratives, and Evolution and Existence and showcases McQueen signature tartan pattern, redefining silhouettes and exceptionally tailoring. McQueen was not only designer but a true storyteller.

Headpieces by Los Angeles-based artist and designer Michael Schmidt, complement and enhance the visual experience of each piece.

Throughout the exhibit there are videos of McQueen’s shows, one of the most notable being the final display of Spring/Summer 1999 show where the model is rotated while robotic arms spray her dress with black and fluorescent yellow paint.

This is exhibit will be open till 14th of April and is truly a remarkable celebration of the Alexander McQueen’s prolific career, not an experience anyone would want to miss and will truly never forget.

Anahera Botanicals NEW
website

Anahera Botanicals products will be released to Australian markets in 2023. Originated in #Malaysia, the company focuses on natural dry serum deodorant products.

The deodorants are toxic and nasty chemicals free and contain organic food grade ingredients. The products with 24 hours odor protection are developed with breast cancer prevention in mind. They are made from red palm butter, organic African shea butter, organic cold pressed coconut oil, wild crafted bee wax, aluminum free baking soda, therapeutic high grade essential oils, yucca root powder and much more rich ingredients.

All thanks to our friends at the Dressed AU, Australian PR company for Anahera Botanicals, Bohemian Rhapsody Weekly Magazine was given a privilege to review the sample products.

The name speaks for itself. You already feel refreshed and safe while reading the company title. "Anahera" means "angel" (messenger), majestic and powerful in Māori phonology (Pacific Islanders and indigenous people of New Zealand). The angels that are there to protect us signifying beauty and elegance. Anahera is a loving angel, like a friend that is always there. "Botanical" relates to nature. The name literally decodes to "natural protection" and strongly resonates on a subconscious level.

The product is beautifully packaged and presented in the most luxurious manner. It would be great as a present for your friend or for yourself. The elegant box contains five uniquely scented deodorants, each packed in a tube: Ylang-Ylang (green colored tube), Bergamot and Orange (orange), Rose Geranium (violet), Lavender (purple) and Palmarosa and Lemon (yellow). Each tube is safely sealed with aluminum foil meaning the product is great when you take it on your vacation trip.
The smell of each of five scents is simply delicious! My favorites out of them all are Ylang-Ylang and Bergamot and Orange. I have been using and applying the deodorant on my skin for more than a week now. Notice, that these nasty summer mosquito bites vanish in a couple of hours without leaving your skin itchy and red; the product protects you amazingly well from sweating not blocking your pores and leaving a divine natural fragrant smell as a trace while you walk or exercise. It remains for 24 hours (all true!) as the company promises. The deodorant is very soft on your skin; you need just a pea size of it to keep you going for one day; the natural ingredients are very well identified by their true organic aromas. You will feel the love put into creating these products.

I am totally falling in love with this health and beauty product for your body care. You can order it online directly from the manufacturer's website and hope that we will be seeing it soon in Australian shops. I recommend you get yourself all five scents and pick up the one you love the most. It is also good to note that this product is ok to use for pregnant and breastfeeding mums, babies, kids and teens.

Very grateful for the opportunity to try and express my opinion on this product of such a high grade.

Sydney real estate and fashion identity takes reins of Mrs Universe Australia pageantA Sydney-based real estate and fashion identity has taken over the reins as Australian director of Mrs Universe Australia – a pageant on a ‘quest to discover the world’s most outstanding married woman who wants to leave a mark on the world’.

Marites Novis, a serial entrepreneur committed to bridging the gap between property and fashion, has been appointed the new director of Mrs Universe Australia 2022/23 by pageant owner and identity, Maryrose Salubre.

“The Mrs Universe pageant is the perfect combination of fashion, modelling and pageantry – it’s time for Australia to take the world stage!,” said Ms Novis.

Ms Novis intends to revolutionise and grow the Mrs Universe pageant to never before seen heights as she takes over as director.

“I intend for Mrs Universe to set a new standard for pageantry in Australia,” said Ms Novis.
“I was drawn to the ethos of the Mrs Universe pageant system - to empower, engage and inspire women of all cultures and backgrounds.

“The pageant aims to build the self-confidence of entrants whose goal is to become global ambassadors and inspire change in the world.”

Ms Novis, founder and CEO of Qfirst Property Investment Group, capitalised on her love of the fashion industry by establishing MFN Productions in 2018, a specialist production company responsible for producing and sponsoring some of Australia’s most notable fashion shows and events including two spectacular fashion showcases featuring the late internationally-renowned, avant-garde fashion designer to the stars, Rocky Gathercole.

“I wanted to give an international platform to hard-working and talented Filipino artists who deserve to be acknowledged and celebrated internationally,” said Ms Novis.

With the events industry coming to a grinding halt due to Covid, Ms Novis, eager to continue waving the flag of the Philippines both in Australia and worldwide, decided to pivot and adapt by reaching out to two of her favourite Filipino fashion brands.

In December last year, Ms Novis acquired the local distribution rights of well-established Filipino ladies’ designer fashion labels, Plains & Prints and Kamiseta, and launched MNOVIS, a new fashion and homewares emporium at Westpoint Shopping Centre in Blacktown. A second MNOVIS bricks-and-mortar outlet opened at Castle Towers Shopping Centre in Castle Hill in June this year.

“As a Filipino with a love of fashion, I decided to franchise the well-known Filipino brands Plains & Prints and Kamiseta in the Australian market,” said Ms Novis.

“This has allowed me to help keep jobs for fellow Filipinos, and create more jobs here in Australia.”
Not one to shy away from a challenge, Ms Novis will also be stocking her own eponymous label at MNOVIS - a collection of ladies fashion for everyday wear, smart/casual and corporate.

Migrating to Australia from the Philippines in 2007, Ms Novis welcomes the challenge of her new appointment after having conquered the ultra-competitive male-dominated real estate industry as a female who is also culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD).

“I've always been driven to thrive in the real estate and fashion industries, but just like any other fields requiring motivation, commitment and a strong heart, I've encountered countless challenges,” said Ms Novis.

“I believe that whatever you’ve set your mind to, you most likely will achieve through the power of dreaming, working hard, and knowing your purpose.”
