A couple of weeks ago I asked our girls what are their favourite perfume brand / fragrance and if they could kindly share any true life story connected to this special perfume. Why do you like this aroma/brand/perfume? What it reminds you of?
I selected only one story that was very interesting from my point of view. It is to be published here and shared which I do with kind permission of the amazing author, a woman who wrote it. Please note that we do not disclose any names online when publishing your stories so most of the names were changed... except real celebrities of course.

.....................................................................................................A true story about the power of a natural fragrance
Your life is full of aromas and fragrances since you are born. Please, have a look at a baby, for instance, when the mother takes it in her arms. The baby turns its head to her breast, following the smell of her milk. Smells can’t be seen, nor can they be heard. Scientists claim that, when a baby is just born, its vision is not focused yet, its ears do not hear well yet. But its subconscious mind has already been programmed either to like or dislike various smells.
Actually, really pleasant smells are taken with a full breath and closed eyes but unpleasant ones make your nose wrinkle. A person is able to distinguish about 10,000 different smells. There are lots of stories, poems and books all about smells, odors, aromas, fragrances or perfumes. But there is one of mine that I would like to share with you.
When thinking about Paris we, women, usually imagine a bouquet of light, weightless and delightful perfumes... And to be honest, among all women on Earth… who would not dream to go to Paris?
I was lucky enough to visit the lovely Paris once, during the beginning of Perestroika in Russia and collapsed of the Soviet Union. I took a very popular tour around the most famous perfume factories. It was very hard to resist buying a couple of famous designer brand perfumes. The temptation was very strong, even high prices did not stop me from spending my limited funds. There were strict currency exchange limits in Russia. All the perfumes I bought had a powerful and beautiful aroma. But the most distinctive aroma was Angel by Thierry Mugler.
When I came back to Russia it was winter there already. Although the biting frost and lily-white snow were everywhere, invigorating and really fresh, I kept breathing the air of Paris... I put a couple of drops of the Angel on the white arctic fox collar of my fur coat, as I was rushing off to a meeting with my friend, an administrator at one of St Petersburg’s theatres.
When I entered the theatre a man, who was passing me by, just stopped suddenly, turned around, and came very close to me – practically face to face. He took me by my shoulders and buried his face into my fur collar right between my breasts. He literally dipped into the fur…
I was speechless at such familiarity and audacity of the stranger. I was shocked and surprised by his power and his courage. I froze to the spot and could not move. What thoughts had I then in my head? It’s hard to remember now…even if there were any at all…
He soon dragged his face out of my collar, looked into my eyes and asked me: “What is this fragrance you are wearing?” I was embarrassed…and I did not flirt with him, did not say anything like: “This is a part of my mystery!” Oh, no!.. No-no-no! At a loss, I said without thinking: Angel.
He stopped breathing for a moment and then repeated echoing every sound of this word: A-n-g-e-l!!! Oh, how marvelous you are!!! and he started sniffing everywhere, around my shoulders… In this short pause I said: “Excuse me, I am in a hurry. If you prefer to continue enjoying yourself, you should go to Paris and buy this perfume. I am to meet my friend in 5 minutes… Sorry but you are keeping me…”
He suddenly ‘woke up’, graciously apologized and left like a ghost vanishing in the fog. With glowing cheeks, I changed my route. I felt I had to go to the bathroom, to prepare for my meeting after that bizarre encounter. I had to rush to my friend’s office right after. I opened the door to the office and froze at the threshold stunned…
I saw HIM again… He was comfortably settled in an armchair in my friend’s office and when I entered he got up instantly. My friend introduced us: “Mr Kashpirovski, please meet my friend Ms Alexandrova…” He replied politely: “Thank you, I met THIS ANGEL 5 min ago in the foyer and she already turned my soul upside down…”
Anatoly Kashpirovskiy!!!!…He was a very famous psychologist and healer. A celebrity, who was all over the TV, the radio and the media! Millions of people in Russia and Europe watched his programs. Lots of doctors used his ideas. It was a rare and a pure chance to meet someone like him… It was more…like meeting Dr Freud on vacation in America. Anatoly Kashpirovskiy was Psychologist Number One, who turned the whole Russia and Europe upside down!!! So many women wove their nets around him! They all chased him! They followed him and his amazing lectures everywhere, like bees in the beehive! He was always spoiled by women. Fleeing from them, he even surrounded himself with bodyguards.
Wow! Anatoly Kashpirovskiy himself sniffed Me… And he called me an ANGEL! It was absolutely incredible! This was the man who was amazed just by a few drops of genuine French perfume? Isn’t it hard to believe? Thanks to the fragrance…It was the beginning of a good friendship indeed, which also gave me quite some knowledge about the power of a natural fragrance!
In fact, the message behind the this story is strong. Odor is a part of unique and significant personality of every person. Sometimes it may change your life path and bring you close to some significant and impressive people. Most women have had the experiences and they have already had a taste of the effect.

Chocolate Hair Mask
Chocolate Hair Mask Recipe Ingredients: - 3 squares of a dark chocolate bar (only dark chocolate please!) - 1/2 cup yogurt - 1.5 TB honey
Hair Mask Home Remedy Instructions: Happy Chocolate Pudding Day!!! In celebration of this delicious day, everyone should make this yummy Chocolate Pudding Hair Mask. This deep conditioner is amazing for dry hair. If you have oily hair, definitely put on the ends of your hair and avoid the roots and the area near them.
1. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler, or in the microwave (stirring and checking often to make sure not to over heat). 2. Combine the yogurt, chocolate and honey… it will be a similar to a chocolate pudding type of texture if you use a Greek Yogurt. 3. While the mask is warm (but not hot enough to burn you), distribute it throughout your hair (but staying away from your scalp, especially if you have oily hair). 4. Wrap your hair in saran wrap. 5. After an hour, or as long as you like, remove the mask with your fingers directly into a garbage can (to prevent clogging your drain). 6. Shampoo and condition your hair as usual.
Pantry Spa Tip: If you don’t have a dark chocolate bar, you can use dark chocolate cocoa. Just make sure not to use milk chocolate, because it won’t give your hair the same benefits. Also, this recipe use to include a banana, but we have now learned that mixing bananas and hair can be a true nightmare! So instead, we have replaced the banana with yogurt, which is also very moisturizing, but will rinse out easier. You could also substitute a regular conditioner for the yogurt if your prefer.
Avocado Banana Hair Smoothy You can use this mask for dry hair. Banana avocado smoothie is a great conditioner for those who suffer from dry hair when it is rich in nutrients and you can make this conditioner straight from your home.
Ingridients: old banana, old avocado, egg, olive oil Instructions
1 Smash rotten bananas. You can use one or two bananas if you like but one banana is sufficient. Smash rotten avocado. One rotten avocado is fine. Avocados and bananas are rich in vitamins and high in fat and stops hair from being dry.
Take your smash bananas and avocado(s) and blend it in a blender. I prefer a blender because smashing bananas and avocados manually are hard to do. You can end up with chunks of food particles in your hair which you don't want. Trust me. So, make sure you use a blender.
Add one egg to mixture. Eggs are high in protein and very good for hair. After blending all of your ingredients, place it in the refrigerator and let it sit over night for ingredients to blend even the more. However, if you want to use the mixture right away, that's fine too. You will receive the same results.
Take it out of the refrigerator. Put mixture into your hair. Place a plastic cap over your hair and let it stand for fifteen to twenty minutes. Then wash your hair as usual. I would recommend washing it out into your kitchen sink probably with one that has a garbage disposal. If you don't have a garbage disposal, that's fine too because the mixture should be very soupy and smooth and should not clog up your pipes. After that, your hair should be moisturized and ready for styling.
