Apart from the products that we put on our skin including our hands the healthy diet is playing a major role in our skin look. The more we look after our selves on the inside the better we look on the outside

“The hands, among women particularly, must be idle to be beautiful...” It was said a few centuries ago in “The Three Musketeers”, a still popular novel by Alexandre Dumas. Well, there is a point in it, isn’t there? Unfortunately, these days it is next to impossible to achieve for a normal girl like me who is a mum, a cook, a cleaner, a gardener, business lady and so on and so on.. So, my way to keep my hands “presentable” is simple, but it’s important to get into routine. Protective gloves are my hands’ best friends. I always use them when I clean, wash, cook and garden. For gardening in addition to gloves I also put a little bit of soap under my nails – it prevents soil and dust to go under the nails and leaves them clean as a whistle regardless of the number of flowers you need to re-pot. All you need to do is to scratch a piece of soap before putting on the gloves. Obviously, regular manicures are a must. For me, it’s not about the length (I prefer keeping my fingernails quite short) but rather the neatness of fingernails and cuticles. One of my other routines is the use of hand cream or lotion after washing my hands. It’s not hard to keep a small tube of hand cream in your hand bag, in the drawer at your office and, of course, in your bathroom and kitchen. Probably, from the perspective of fashion, my hands are not the most elegant of shapes, my fingers are not that long and my fingernails are not almond-shaped. However, I think they are nice to look at and pleasant to touch. My husband likes to hold my hands and say that they are like the paws of a kitten, soft and velvety.

Every woman should take care of herself no matter of age or financial position.

The way women takes care of herself shows the pride she takes, it is all depends how much you love yourself
And a lot of us unfortunately don’t love ourselves enough to spoil or just to look well.  We need to encourage
One another to  use skin care products not just for the face but for body and  hands as well, after all our hands is
Our business card, and shows your age if you don’t moisturise them at least before you go to bed.

MADE AT HOME: YOUR HAND CREAM

How long should you really wait between hair washes?

Do you need to wash your hair tonight?

How often should you wash your hair? There are many factors involved such as your hair type, your personal preference, the condition of your scalp and also your lifestyle. Someone who has a sweaty job obviously has different requirements to someone who sits behind a computer all day. There’s also the argument that we should ditch shampoo altogether because it can strip hair of its natural oils, which prompt the scalp to produce more oil, locking us in a greasy hair cycle. We bring the experts in to answer.

How oftenTrichologist Cathy Rose-Simpson from The Crown Clinic in Sydney has been asked this question many times in her 30 years in the hair industry. “All hair types can be washed every few days, although many people like to wash their hair every day,” says Rose-Simpson. “This is ok but it is essential that the correct shampoo and conditioner are used for the different hair types. Chemically treated hair, for example, will require extra conditioning treatment. Thinning hair can be washed the same as any other hair type, but again it is essential that the correct hair care products are used.  I always recommend avoiding shampoos and conditioners that contain harsh chemicals such as Laurel Sulphates, Parabens, Betaines and Ethylene Oxides.” says Rose-Simpson. Products that are gentle on the hair and your scalp don’t encourage an over-production of oils.

Barney Martin, Pantene Ambassador and hair stylist has similar advice to Rose-Simpson. “For all hair types, I recommend washing your hair every other day.” However for people with thinning hair less is more. One of the most common mistakes that can enhance thinning hair is when women wash their hair too often. Washing your hair everyday will encourage the scalp to start over producing oil and can actually dehydrate the hair further.” Martin says that if you’re finding you need to wash your hair every day, then it’s probably because you’re using the wrong products and techniques. “Make sure you’re using a good quality shampoo, conditioner and treatment regimen,” says Martin.

How to washWhen it’s time to wash your hair Rose-Simpson recommends using massaging the shampoo into the scalp and avoiding water that is too hot. “Conditioner should go on the hair and is not required for the scalp and is best rinsed with cooler water,” says Rose-Simpson.  “As a trichologist I see many different clients with a range of hair and scalp concerns but when it comes to washing hair my recommendation is to always use a chemical free product for your specific hair type.”

to loose your head with such a hair-do would be very much possible, unavoidable or an absolute disaster, right? ‪#‎marieantoinette‬ ‪#‎rococo‬
